Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) technology, sometimes called CATS (Completely Automated Telephone Survey), is ideal for large volume surveys that require a quick turn-around. This methodology is available for respondents at their convenience, day or night. The questionnaire is recorded into the IVR system by the researcher or by a "professional voice". Skip patterns are programmed to follow the "flow" of the survey. All closed-end questions are answered using the touch-tone phone keypad while all open-end responses are recorded digitally. An ID can be issued to validate the data gathered. This technology is controlled by a computer which appends the respondents' answers to a data file. Open-end verbatims can be transcribed and attached to that data file, placed into a separate file or recorded on a cassette tape. We offer full service IVR support for one-time and for on-going surveys. If you would like to know more about using IVR or if you would like to listen to an example IVR questionnaire, please contact us. Copyright © 2006 nVision Research. All Rights Reserved.
